23rd April, 2014 the revolutionary new real estate website combining Australia’s most beautiful search experience with free property listings has today launched a new feature, providing consumers with an easy way to keep up to date with what’s on the market.

The “New” blue tag that is now featured on property displays, will automatically filter properties to showcase them in order of when they were added to the site. Further to that, the stamp in the top left hand corner of the listings will break down if the listing is 1hr New, 2hrs New or has been listed on the sight recently.

CEO Adam Spencer, who works on the design elements of mentioned the “New” feature will improve the search function for consumers “Consumers are always asking about how they can get that advantage or knowing when a listing comes on to the market. In the past they have needed the agent to tell them, however with this new feature it does it for them.”

“We have seen search results in the past represented by what the company perceived as the most relevant to the consumer, however with this, it didn’t take into account what they were looking for. This way listings are represented equitably and ensures consumers don’t miss out on being exposed to homes that could be just right for them that have just hit the market”

On top of that, agents are benefiting from the new feature. “Agents are now putting themselves in prime position and will be able to generate more engagement from this new feature” mentioned National Sales Director Rocky Bartolotto. “This new feature will ensure that agents who are active and listing properties will get exposure of their profile to consumers when consumers come to search for homes that are new”

“Consumers love to know what’s new, they never want to miss out. By adding in this new feature, we allow agents to essentially position their listing with their profile attached at the top of the pile, it’s a great additional marketing tool for savvy agents”

Agents have quickly signed up after the release of this new feature, with Homely being in the final stages of securing a further 4 larger franchises, and adding up to 600 offices nationally.

Other Agents can now submit their listings for free here with listings being displayed within hours of being submitted. With the current uptake, being on board early is proving a major benefit for the partners on board.
